Skills Demonstrated: Self-Reflection • Communication • Professional Growth • Leadership • Career Development
A professional brand is more than a title or list of accomplishments. It reflects how experiences, values, strengths, and goals come together to shape the way a person presents themselves professionally.
This artifact highlights the development of my professional brand through the Organizational Leadership program. It demonstrates how I have become more intentional about communicating my identity as a technology leader and connecting my professional experience with my continued academic and leadership development.
Context & Reflection
Why I selected this artifact
I selected this artifact because it represents the connection between my professional experience and the leadership concepts I have been developing through my Organizational Leadership studies. Creating and refining my professional brand required me to reflect on my strengths, values, experiences, and long-term goals rather than simply describing the positions I have held. That process helped me identify the consistent themes that have shaped my career.
Connection to my professional goals
This artifact supports my goal of continuing to grow as a strategic technology leader. My professional identity is built around leadership, problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, continuous learning, and using technology to help organizations operate more effectively. Developing a clearer professional brand allows me to communicate those qualities consistently across my e-portfolio, résumé, LinkedIn profile, and other professional settings.
What I learned
This experience reinforced the importance of being intentional about how professional experiences are presented. A job title can describe a role, but it does not necessarily explain how someone leads, what they value, or what they have learned. Through this process, I developed a clearer understanding of the connection between my technical background, leadership experience, academic growth, and future goals.
What this artifact says about me
I want viewers to see me as an experienced technology leader who continues to learn and grow. My focus is not only on managing technology, but on connecting people, systems, and organizational priorities in ways that create meaningful results. I also want this artifact to demonstrate that I approach my own professional development with the same intentionality that I bring to technology and leadership decisions.
